This is the oldest Lutheran college in Minnesota which was founded in 1862 by Swedish immigrants. It is an undergraduate, residential, liberal arts college.
The college sits on 340 acres in the scenic Minnesota River Valley. The college offers 75 majors in 24 academic departments and 3 interdisciplinary programs including 14 honors majors. The enrollment is 2,573 (full time, fall 2007) with the average class size being 14. The school has students from 38 states and 17 countries enrolled.
The college offers a quality fine arts program with more than 30 theater, arts, and music organizations. There are 25 varsity athletic teams and more than 40 intramural and club sports. There are over 100 student organizations. It’s a great school choice for those that want to go to a smaller school whose standards are high.
