Great River Shakespeare Festival - Winona, Minnesota

This event began in 2004 at the Winona State University Performing Arts Center and has grown ever since.  They produce two simultaneous performances each summer an have exceeded attendance numbers of 7,000!

The annal productions have consisted of some of Shakespear’s memorable work with each year being another challenge.  "The Taming of the Shrew" and "The Merchant of Venice" are two of the plays that these talented artists have brought to life.
