This center has interactive displays to catch the attention of all Citizen Scientists.  You can learn about the different birds in the area, the necessary habitats for their continued existance and how to preserve the planet for future generations to enjoy. Audubon’s mission is to conserve and restore natural ecosystems, focusing on birds, other wildlife and their habitats for the benefit of humanity and the earth’s biological diversity.

Visitors may enjoy live animals, birds, and aquariums with many interesting creatures.  Audubon Science Center is an education outreach branch of Albert Lea Audubon Society – non-profit, member-supported, organization. The Albert Lea Audubon Society also offers a 12-acre Nature Preserve/Sanctuary open to the public on the west end of Oregon Street. Hikers may view abundant wildlife on the mowed walking trails. Visitors and school field trips are always welcome.
