Jackson Speedway - Jackson, Minnesota
Jackson Speedway is host to the fastest 1/2-mile dirt track in a five-state area. Races are held every Sat night starting in May through Labor Day. The Jackson Nationals are held the 3rd weekend in August. Other racing in the area includes go-carts, Erickson MX motorcross and soap box runs.
Hot laps begin at 7 pm with the races immediately following.
Admission: $10 for adults, $5 for students ages 6-12, 5 and under is FREE. $25 Family Pack: 2 Adults and up to 4 Student age kids.
The track has been operating since 1954. The list of champions that have run this track is an outstanding listing of impressive drivers (and pit crews!)
They have added a Sportsmen Division and will adopt Worthington and Slayton’s rules and call this division the Sportsmen Division. This is a very entry level class and it is hoped to get a lot of local participation, as these cars should be very affordable.
The Hobby Stock Class will not be sanctioned with IMCA in 2008. They are going to follow Fairmont, MN basic rule package. This will hopefully get the track some more cars from other tracks to come and join the races.
IMCA Stock cars no changes, as they will remain sanctioned with IMCA.
No significant changes for either Sprint Car Division.
