Nisswa is a place that most people that travel to the northern part of Minnesota have either been to or have heard about.  The area is great for fishing, boating, golfing and shopping.  Nisswa comes from the Ojibwa  world "messawae" which means "in the middle" or "three", the town site and Lake Nisswa are the middle of the three interconnected lakes.  Here you are not far from the water or the beautiful wildlife that lives in the area.
