La Crescent Apple Festival - La Crescent, Minnesota

images.jpgLa Crescent Apple Festival - La Crescent, Minnesota

The Apple Festival was founded in La Crescent in 1949 to promote the community and the apple industry.  The three day Applefest weekend is a culmination of a year planning to make sure that all of the events go on without a hitch.  Come and enjoy the parade, the Kiddie parade, the carnival, of course the Apple Pie Stand, the President’s Reception and the Queen Cornation.  You can continue on with the pancake breakfast, king apple parade, the craft show and entertainment in the King Apple (which would translate into BEER) tent and the Johnny Appleseed (Family) tent.

That is a great deal to pack into one weekend, but you will be so glad you visited, ate great pie, watched a real parade and enjoyed the activities with everyone else.

The Applefest is ALWAYS held on the 3rd full weekend in Spetember. (A full weekend means both Saturday and Sunday occur in September.)
